Boot release, LHD

Just thought of something! On which side of a LHD +2 is the boot release - is it RH or steering wheel LH side..?

Would someone with a factory LHD drive car tell me please?

Logically it has to be on the left, but hoping it might have been a corner they might have cut back in the day :D
