Lotus Elan

Directors +2s

With Graham Arnolds +2 being currently mentioned , it made me wonder if the other directors +2's whereabouts are known of ?, other than LPW 120F. Presuming they did receive one as proposed by the advert ?

That's a cool ad; I wonder if any of those cars are known to exist now?

As regards Plus 2 director cars, we do know of the following:

ANG 667J Plus 2S Red Tony Rudd's probably first company car

GAH 734K Plus 2S 130 Lagoon blue Richard Morley Managing Director of Lotus Cars

JAH 567L Plus 2S 130/5 Tawney Brown Colin Chapman’s car, the first 5 speed and saw the introduction of the warning lights going onto the dash where the fuse box had been

JPW 283L Plus 2S 130 Renault green Tony Rudd’s when he was Technical Director

Thanks Tim, although those +2 are some 3 years later. The advert was in Autosport 9th feb 68, do we know what date NAH 120F was built /registered ?
It still leaves Fred Bushell's +2, John Standen's +2 and D Austin's +2 unknown.

cheers Steve

Early 1973 Plus 2S 130 Reg NK Lagoon blue Fred Bushell

Graham Arnold's demonstrator NAH 120F was built during Q1 1968 and registered on 1st May 1968.

The previous +2 S130/5 I had was a Lotus company car - I think used by the service department so not sure if it was a director's car. It's number plate was originally Lagoon Blue and it's number plate was MAH 866L. Subsequently it was painted Monaco White and had a different number plate put on it. It also had some IWR modifications to the engine (cams and poss head work).
