+2 sunvisor arms

A (daft ?) question about the sunvisor arms for the (early) +2.
Are these supposed to allow the sunvisor to swing round to the side window ?
Mine are part dismantled (off the car) and the mounting bracket seems really jammed onto the arm (one still has a spring + two locked nuts fitted)... I am reluctant to pull these apart & risk breaking the casting if they are not supposed to move. [the car has been off the road for many years & I can't remember if they used to move]
Cheers

Adrian,
On my 68 +2 they do move round to cover the side widows if required. Whether they are supposed to? That's another question.
Cheers

Cheers for the replies. I think I will try to free them up.
Rich, In terms of replacement. I have some material supplied with the headlining that is enough to to the 3/4 panels & the two sunvisors... I'm guessing that I have to make a sock with two sides machine stitched (the 3rd side being a fold) and hand sew the 4th side. I'm not sure if it's wise to take the original cover off or not.
I was thinking of a mirror from a local glass cutting supplier. The existing one may or may not be original (68 +2) doesn't appear to be anything specific.

That sounds like a good idea Adrian. I might have to venture and do the same at some point. The drivers side of mine is really good, but the passengers is a bit bulgy and the mirror has fallen down inside.
Make sure you post pics when you've done it!

Mine doesn't either, just crusty foam in black and cream vinyl..

My 68 has a mirror stuck on the surface of the passenger side visor. I assumed this was an original feature but it could easily be an add on. I've yet to refurbish so will take a picture with dimensions.

I had a weekend in the garage, so here are the sun-visors in their current state. The mirror could easily be a PO add on.
