I'll offer the opinion that you're better off with a new one than someone else's second best original. They are available, there was a post in the last few weeks with a reference and the price is in line with current prices for lesser cars. Search the archives.
The rear screen was on the NLA list a few years back, don't know if that has been corrected or not.

How fussy are you and how far do you want to travel?
I have a 130/5 screen which you could have for the asking. Only trouble is I'm in Scotland so couldn't be much further from you. I replaced it as the bottom corners had gone cloudy (delamination?), but perfectly usable.
Dougal.

It was originally a Ford screen (consul classic?) and hence you can even get heated screens from time to time.

My 71 +2 bonded screen surround is disgusting.
It is probably original and the clear plastic covering the chrome has had so much uv radiation it is now yellow. I have seen many with creases in the underlying chrome and have resisted repalcing mine for something else which is not perfect and costs a fortune.
Early elans with black rubber surrounds look good so I have taken measurements and a surround in black from modern ford cars would replace the chrome trim. Has anyone tried this and how does it look? Not original but possibly neater than most !
The surrounds I have looked at are the same shape and size as original chrome and the screenwould still be bonded .

I had not thought of this, but my understanding is that you would have to trim the fibreglass aperture return in order to fit the rubber. Also remember that a bonded screen aids the rigidity of the shell, whether Lotus went over to bonding because of this is any ones guess. If you go ahead, post some pics..

both from and rear screens are available from a firm in Bromsgrove, I would have to look up the name if interested and Paul Matty has the surrounds for the bonded screen, I believe that spyder might help if you want to fit an unbounded screen David
