Vacuum pipes thru bulkhead where?

PostPost by: RichC » Mon Nov 07, 2016 1:01 pm

Ok I'm up the barn progressing with the rebuild.Younger son who took out vacuum pipes from old shell not answering his phone... Can't work out where the two vacuum pipes pass through the bulkhead. Do they pass through with the main loom beside the left hand bonnet catch or is there a hole somewhere else pls?
Thanks in advance

My 71 car had them go through on their own, in two grommets I think, in roughly that area.

I have a picture at home somewhere of how they were I am sure. I can have a look for it later tonight if useful?

Cheers,
Simon

Hi Rich.
On my 1968 car the Vac pipes go through with the Harness wires.
Not many holes in my bulkhead.

fantastic pictures teejay and thank you!
I took a gamble and put them thru there as I couldn't fathom any other way... called my younger son again lunchtime and he couldn't remember but guessed it would be the most logical.

Your picture is almost identical to mine , except for the position of the vehicle plate and routing of the servo vacuum pipe ...
Yours is the only plastic hatted brake master cylinder i've seen other than my own so i guess the numbers must be pretty close
