Froggy- CMJ571L- +2 130/5
My old car, foolishly sold rather than rebuilt- which it needed. Great fun when it worked but frequently broke down. Bought and sold on eBay. Last seen heading for Germany on a wet Winter's night.
Laurel green.
Named by my younger daughter (whose school fees needed paying)
more photos available if anyone finds these useful

You should have sent her to a state school and kept the car...

I remember Froggie coming up for sale, must have been 7 or 8 or more years ago, and very nearly bought her! I seem to remember that the car needed a bit of TLC, or indeed a restoration!
Great colour though, and very unusual.
I think that a friend went around to sneak a few photos in the dark!
Pretty sure that a chap from Germany came on here a few years back with Laurel Plus 2...I bet it's the same one.

Just to confirm, was the green a metallic paint finish?

Yes it was, and it had a pearlescent sheen to it as well. It looked stunning when new, but seemed to fade / age quite badly.

Thanks, the build records just said 'green'. The only green I could find was mid Green metallic LO.17. It was the name 'Laurel Green' mentioned at the start that made me wonder if there was another green I was not aware of.

It is laurel green in the spray shop, taken about 10 or so years ago. It was a friend's car, long gone I'm afraid.

I also have a laurel green + 2. Paintwork is still excellent on wings and doors, but it has fainted on horisontal areas like bonnet and roof, which has always been green and not silver flake. Also, my alloys have never been painted black. Interior is also oatmeal

My apologies for coming back on the infamous Laurel Green.
I have been looking again and now strongly suspect that mine was the Renault Mid Green, Metallic - see:
https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/s3.s ... jan-17.pdf
...which provides a suggestion that Laurel Green was a Triumph colour which Googles as much darker see:

....and googling in pidgin French does lead to a good match on an old Renulat see:

Another green that looks great on a Plus2 is the green from the stripe on a Lotus Cortina.
