Whoa, Shaun! So exciting. Very happy for you!

Now you must tell us: what is the colour? A Lotus colour? And if so, what paint system and what is the number? Share, please

Looks awesome, and looking forward to more pix and progress!

Beautiful color choice. Different and really suits the shape of the plus 2 nicely..

Great job Shaun, and an absolutely stunning colour choice. I really like the satin engine bay with the green.

Thanks for the feedback , it took a long time to convince myself to paint it a non original colour but I didn't like its original blue , just got to drop it on the chassis now

Looks terrific and I agree looks good in that colour.
I had a panic attack when I looked at the front left during the preparation stage....
I think you have the rear seats in the wrong position

So did I ,the repair only started as a small hole but the more he dug the more of a botched repair he found it took him a long time to replicate the other side with template s but he made a lovely job

Looks pretty damn good in that Green, I can see why you dropped the Blue!
Try not to do what i did and have a little change of plan in the build, was going to use a repro rear bumper then decided to remake an original type one out of two Elf bumpers. Worked out ok until I went to fit it of course and found the holes are not quite in the same place! Paint should be blown in this week!!

Don't want to be pedantic but, can't help notice that the cooling fan looks to be the wrong way round to be efficient? Sorry if Im wrong but might stop overheating issues if it is?

Thanks Vince for your comments it gives me great satisfaction in knowing that you don't have to be made of money to restore a old lotus you just have to be good at begging and be able to find cheap solutions yourself plus a lot of time cleaning and restoring parts instead of purchasing new ones ,take break calipers cleaned with acid purchased from eBay ,new seals and zinc coated about ?50 a lot cheaper than new

Fantastic colour I have also been looking at the Aston greens, I was looking at the slightly darker Derwent Green but now I see Almond I am very taken.

The hours preparing the body are worth while it looks stunning, amazing front wing repair

Thanks for sharing
