Anyone know this car? EPC 394J?

Hi
New to the forum, and hoping to find a Plus 2 to work on.
As you perhaps guessed, I once owned EPC 394J. Was a 1971 S130/4(?) in white. I owned it around 1983, so it was 'only' 12 years old. From DVLA, I believe it is still on the road, and insured. Have some great memories of the car, and would love to catch a glimpse of it if possible.
No other car has quite had the same appeal, so I need another one!
Unless my memory is playing tricks on me, once I purchase one, I'll probably be back here for help and advice!
Thanks, Andy

Where, then, lies the answer? In choice. Which shall it be: bankruptcy of purse or bankruptcy of life?

Hi John
HA HA! Yes I remember those days (too) well. Though to be honest, I think people have posted on here that if you treat them right, there's no reason why they can't be reliable. I was very young then, if you know what I mean?
For the moment, I'll allow myself to be convinced! On which note, I just visited the Spydercars website last night. Wondering how Zetechs are viewed by folks here? Is lotuselan.net more for the purist? Don't really know why, but think I'd like to see a Lotus twin cam under the hood?
Thanks
Andy

Dear Andy,
It's taken almost eight years but I can at last offer news of EPC 394J.
It was spotted today, 24.01.22 in BR3. I shall try to contact the owner as the car is parked only half a mile from my house.

I love stories like this too. Eight years and here she is. Looking almost exactly as I last saw her! If it’s possible to simultaneously have a huge smile on your face, and a tear in your eye, then that’s exactly how I feel!!
I know it’s only a photograph, but it’s like bumping into an old ‘flame’. The intervening years just melt away!
I am so incredibly grateful to Simon!
Fantastic!

So cool!
Funnily enough, my parents' first car, an Austin 1300, was ELR 393J, very close!

I have known this car for many years. I know the owner and more recently helped him locate someone to sort out a fuel starvation issue. I run past the car occasionally when out for my morning run. Jim

Hi Jim.
Thanks to Si_130/5 I am now in touch with the owner. Great to exchange stories of the car. Funnily enough I had an intermittent fuel starvation issue on the car too. Though that was in 1983!
