Salut
I imagine most of you noticed that Oxford models has released a yellow +2 1/43 scale model and eBay sellers are adding an extra quid to their prices:

As you can see there is a 1/76 scale model to come. The yellow version looks to be a +2S with steel wheels. Also to be released is a blue +2S in 1/43 and 1/76 with what looks like alloys:

... and a red version:

If you're a +2 CN owner please get in touch if you're interested in a 1/43 SMTS kit (i.e. not built). SMTS have told me that the cabriolet version is discontinued but that they still have the moulds for the extra cabriolet bits and would include them in a standard kit for the same price (I assume about ?45/?46 as per the eBay listing as of today). There could be a price break if there are ten or more takers.

A version from Spark is also in the pipeline:

Are they better than Oxford, in general ?

I had noticed the yellow and hoped they would do a different colour, and when I saw Lagoon Blue, I thought great, but in aswer to your question, yes Spark is much better than Oxford. The Oxford cast looks like a single piece, i.e. painted lights etc. but Spark is much better detailed.
I have the Evora and Carlton by Spark, and both have clear plastic lamps, great detailing so I think I will hold off and see what colour the Spark version is and buy that one. I wonder if it will be a Federal version as shown? Although i've just noticed they call it a 1967 version, so wonder which it will be and what colour?
Collecting model cars is my hobby.

Any copying, reproduction would have to be run past legal. I remember seeing drawings of the Matchbox Europa Special for approval before they made that a few years back.
