Vin I.D please

Assuming your +2 is Federal, the VIN plate should be located in the black painted area, just under where the body colour ends and pretty much in between the two servos. I have edited my post above to distinguish between the Elan and +2, which I should have done before - my apologies.

Well then maybe it's different for different +2s because the picture I posted had it behind the wiper motor, right side, horizontal wall and while I didn't have a plate there I had the holes. I'm not sure it really fits with twin servos and thought maybe with advent of twin servos plate was relocated? Gordon Sauer

The car also has a non TC engine, I think someone stuck a Pinto in there.
The owner claimed the non TC engine as the original to the car................god, where do they come from?.......
Sooooo..........still no reasonable answer on the odd Vin and non TC engine. Stick a fork in this one....I'm done.
