Anglo French Elan +2 Meeting

9th & 10th April it is, if anyone is interested please email and we will try to source reasonable accommodation either with us or our neighbours for as long or as little as you want
We have at present 4 or 5 french cars interested but we will email all the French owners again to see

looks like we will be on our own with French cars ............. its a good job most of the +2s are all over here now!

Terry, sorry for not responding, but the dates are perfect for a trip including Mrs D, but I checked my work diary and find a clash the next week. Unless I can get a colleague to attend the work meeting (in sunny Zagreb), I will have to bow out.. This means I will not know if I can come until a couple of weeks before hand.. Would this be enough notice to arrange some local accommodation?

Can you PM me your email address and I'll keep you up to date of any news. I don't think it would be a problem to find some accommodation as we know quite a few gites/chambre d'hotes locally

Hi All

With terry we organized last year the first Lotus Elan +2 in France
In 2011 we would like to be able to get a maximum of Elan +2 in Charente at Catherine and Terry Cottage .
This meeting is a part of the Club Lotus France calendar 2011.
We hope that you can come numerous has this meeting.

As Serge says above, we are going to be doing our meeting and is now on the Club Lotus France Calendar!
We have two possible UK cars at present (Sean & Jeremy) and are having our invite published in the Club Lotus UK magazine and hopefully the Lotus Drivers Club (Although they haven't replied yet!)

The invite , let me know if anyone wants it in French!

Even with an announcement in the January edition of the Club Lotus UK magazine, we received no additional emails.
We are sorry to say that due to lack of interest we have had to cancel the event and perhaps postpone until next year....

We are however going to be doing our French event in May with more than 6 Elan+2's and 2 Elans , pictures will follow....................

last week end we where at "French rural cottage" with 12 Lotus Classic ;

As Serge said above we had 12 cars! Unfortunately we had 8 Elan +2's rather than 10 expected. One had to drop out due to the owner having a bad back and the other had ignition problems but came along in his Elise!
Speaking of ignition problems , we had more than fair share over the weekend with a defective coil and condenser causing minor breakdowns. It seems that re-manufactured Lucas parts are causing problems everywhere! (I have been on to Susan to get a spare Lumenition insert for my distributor and too carry in the car as well as a complete ignition set up)
