I got a new model today a red Dino. I am building my dream garage.

I think the red paint is a bit too shiny so that will get a rub down soon.

Just thinking out loud; perhaps someone with good experience in "3d printing" could be approached?
Seems like it should be possible to create a plastic model (perhaps multiple parts) that way without having to bother with creating special tools.
That said I know very little about 3d-printing so I don't know if it would work - but it may be worth a try. :-)

Hi All,

How about a 3D scan of a Plus 2 and then 3D printed model from resin that can be finished by hand either by the owner or a model making company?

Would that be of interest?

Cheers,

Nick

Or Central Scanning (www.central-scanning.co.uk)

We scanned a Porsche RS61 that is being manufactured at the moment in aluminium and COB6008 AC Cobra recently.

Salut Nick

Sounds like you're the man with the experience and know-how. Can you give us an idea of cost with the example of the Porsche?

Merci et @+

Bonjour Vernon,

When we did the Porsche, it was a bit different as we scanned the car, created a buck and the bodies are being hand made from aluminium.
I will have a look at the rough costs of scanning a plus 2 and then creating some 3D printed versions that owners could hand finish and paint themselves.
I am away for a few days and will update during next week.

Cheers,

Nick

Not sure if this is new or old stock..

If the ordinary +2 is rare as a model, this must be more so.

Salut

This is the second the seller has offered. The last sold for ?36, and a ready-built for ?65 (!).

As a bidder and +2 cabriolet owner I forbid anyone from this forum bidding if they don't have a +2 cabriolet themselves :)
