Workshop Manuals

PostPost by: faceman » Sun Dec 02, 2007 11:25 am

I know this has been asked before but sometime ago. I'm a new +2 owner and want to get hold of some good workshop manuals so I can tinker with the simpler bits myself.
Does anyone know of a good source or can recommend a good book?Does anyone have a workshop manual they want to sell me?
Are the original Lotus manuals worth the money to source a reprint direct from Lotus themselves?

Cheers

Hi faceman

Lotus Elan: A Restoration Guide
by Gordon Lund (I put this at the top as Gordon posts on this forum) :D
ISBN: 9781855205963
?14.95

Authentic Lotus Elan Plus 2. 1962 1974.
Paul Robinshaw & Christoher Ross
?20 new but they are hard to get, about ?40 used on ebay
ISBN 0947981950

Lotus Twin-Cam-Engine
Miles Wilkins
?17
ISBN 0760316929

Lotus Elan Owners Workshop Manual 1962-74
by R. M. Clarke
?16.95

I have all these books and they are all worth a read but I prefer the Lotus Parts list and manual. You can get these both from Paul Matty but they are not cheap. I bought both of mine used for less than ?20 each.

Hope this helps
