Putty in your hands!!!

PostPost by: carrierdave » Thu Jan 04, 2007 9:12 am

Good morning All ? And a Happy New Year to you.

After repainting the car last year I am in the process of putting everything back together. On the doors there was a particular type of black putty used under the front quarter light window, which sealed between the chrome frame and the fibre glass door.

As you can probably guess, I no longer have that stuff and was wondering if it is still available or what alternatives are out there.

Thanks

Dave

and get a jam jars worth of paraffin. You'll need that to finish it off and get a nice smooth surface :) , (as you would a wet finger with silicon sealant) Should look like a proper seal then, when finished off.

If you are looking for Dumdum Frost Auto Restoration also stock it. The closing plates for the wheel arches were also sealed with the stuff.
