Could we have a table in the restaurant labled Lotuselan.net like there was at Donington ? It was nice putting faces to cars and names.

Mk1 spyder springs?
Are they not just standard 2.5" springs?

I don't know,
I asked Spyder and they said they did not keep records that go that far back so I need to upgrade to the MK2 suspension
If I was using the car every day I would quite happily spend the ?1,000 +VAT, but at the moment I have other priorities. So am looking for the cheap option
I would imagine that the spring rate of the originals would be ok on the Spyder chassis as the weight of the car would not have changed that much? So I just need to find that.
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,
Would it be cheaper to convert back to original spec on the suspension. Bit's from Stonleigh perhaps?
I'm not familiar with the spyder set up in detail so I guess it depends on how much of the orig bits are missing. Just a thought anyway.
Btw. I know what you mean about fitting solid driveshafts - I didn't find it easy either

The shocks are Koni unitsso if they are standard off the shelf coil over dampers, when I finally manage to get the springs off I should be able to order the new Koni shocks.
The standard springs are 16 inches and rated 93 lbs/in, so I just need to measure the springs and check they are the same length as standard
Getting there

Any info, adress, map, web-site, entrace fee etc? How to get there by train from London?

I hope to be there in my +2. I can't believe it has been so trouble free since I got back from classic le Mans! I even had to rescue my brother the other day when his latest car ( 4.5 lightweight TVR Cerbera - 202 mph) broke down in norfolk. Lotus 1 - TVR 0 !
