Yes and Yes....

I'll be there (VWW 965F white Plus2) with the bits in the boot to convert to efi (Mondeo edis) and will be back at the car at 12:00...

I'm going in my +2 what ever the weather !

Could we have a table in the restaurant labled Lotuselan.net like there was at Donington ? It was nice putting faces to cars and names.

I'll be there, but not in the +2 as the MOT man broke it

I finally fitted my Mick Miller shafts though, 'easy fit' my arse!!

Still looking for rear MK1 Spyder springs.

Jason
Mk1 spyder springs?
Are they not just standard 2.5" springs?

I don't know,

I asked Spyder and they said they did not keep records that go that far back so I need to upgrade to the MK2 suspension

If I was using the car every day I would quite happily spend the ?1,000 +VAT, but at the moment I have other priorities. So am looking for the cheap option :)

I would imagine that the spring rate of the originals would be ok on the Spyder chassis as the weight of the car would not have changed that much? So I just need to find that.

Thanks

Hi Jason,

Would it be cheaper to convert back to original spec on the suspension. Bit's from Stonleigh perhaps?

I'm not familiar with the spyder set up in detail so I guess it depends on how much of the orig bits are missing. Just a thought anyway.

Btw. I know what you mean about fitting solid driveshafts - I didn't find it easy either

The shocks are Koni unitsso if they are standard off the shelf coil over dampers, when I finally manage to get the springs off I should be able to order the new Koni shocks.

The standard springs are 16 inches and rated 93 lbs/in, so I just need to measure the springs and check they are the same length as standard :D

Getting there :D

I hope to be there in my +2. I can't believe it has been so trouble free since I got back from classic le Mans! I even had to rescue my brother the other day when his latest car ( 4.5 lightweight TVR Cerbera - 202 mph) broke down in norfolk. Lotus 1 - TVR 0 !
