Registration Of The First / Prototype Elan 2+2

I believe the car first appeared at the Birmingham Motorshow? the owner believes it too be the prototype car and I would like to confirm that it is the car in question via the cars registration number at least the first 3 letters - which begin OMP - is this the prototype car?

If it is then it would help with bringing across a rather special guest to Le Mans in addition to those we already have for Le Mans and the 50th Lotus anniv.

Is the photo from L2B btw?

Yep, the car was on sale in that picture, I bought it.

Funny story as the chap who owned it was in Brighton visiting his brother in law. He was driving along the front when he saw all these "New Elans", so he drove in and was signalled to park up. He knew nothing about the SELOC L2B at all !

LOL, on the day I wondered where it had come from, as I couldn't remember it starting at Crystal Palace.
