Possible new owner - could do with some help please!
Hi Rohan, my thinking too, but would be useful to get it going, if anything so can take apart without having to damage bits tho carbs are a mess too. Get so used to 200k+ motors these days, my Triumph reminds me with 20k chains....

Hi Paul,
when i bought my 1972 Elan Sprint it had done about 68,000 miles so it was the time to strip Engine before any damage. I was very lucky standard size bores and a few Rings broken but no damage.
If your car is the same you can deglaze the bores and fit a set of original standard bore Pistons. You can get a set of standard bore Pistons very cheap from SJS sportscars or Miles Wilkins. most Twinks have been rebored and nobody wants them . Fit a new set of Vandervell shells + Oil Pump. Job done.
