Did anyone here buy this car ?
Just to add a bit more to the early +2 theme this +2 chassis 34 sold on Car and Classic in May 2017 , reg number RNP 120F [another 120] , showing the earlier servo , cam covers and carrello lights . Said to have been stored over 30 years
Quote "Early car, chassis 0034, orig chassis, engine, g/bx, diff, interior etc. Off road + dry stored for over 30 years, approx 60k miles. Original paint. All parts present,(less radio + aerial) plus some new rear light clusters. Super project, very regrettable sale after years of ownership, but too much else on. Lotus Heritage cert, few owners. Please email me, phone reception iffy. Thank you."

That looks like a super-original car Steve, and interesting that it's another '120'. I'm glad I didn't see it when it was for sale!
It left the factory a few days after your car, on the 18th September.
Have you started renovating yours yet, or going to finish off the other one first? Good to get the practise in!!!

Hi Mark ,
Good to hear from you.
I only saw the time lapsed advert the other day , it's nice to see original cars with potential for sale on the open market .
Yes you're right i've deliberately left 24 alone to build this one first , too many distractions though like holidays , xmas and oz man flue !.
The chassis / engine has been complete for a while , all up and running .
New cill box sections , body on a trolley ,sanded bare awaiting prep , lots of parts restored though.
Are you using your +2 now ?.
Steve

No !
I got it running nicely after putting on a new cam belt, cleaning out the tank and a few other bits and pieces. Then sorted the brakes with new calipers on the front and a rebuilt master. And now it won't start! I think some muck has got into the carbs, so they will have to come off next. The old BDA sounded good though!

My first +2 was first registered 21st June 1968 with reg: RAH 606F.
DVLA say date of tax liability 1st Oct 1990
Sorry but i don't have a photo or vin number.
It was a sort of Pearl black and the roof had very special lace sprayed panels (red, yellow, silver).
Very 70's and a bit special. Inside were bucket seats and an Eight Track player.
