Autosparks wiring loom - a word of warning

PostPost by: DABARTH » Sun Oct 06, 2024 10:17 pm

So who IS the best/most reliable supplier of looms for our cars? I may need to replace one in a '67 +2 and want to mitigate any problems possible.

Thanks and cheers!

Anyone who has struggled to trace all the wiring of an Lotus Elan will appreciate this week's big science breakthru: that they have fully mapped all the brain cells and connections of the Fruit Fly.. ..!

I think there is no choice apart from Autosparks unfortunately, which can lead to it's own problems of not just quality, but supply as well.

I am having a custom loom made for my '68 Plus2 due to some modifications made by a previous owner, and some of my own.
I have been quoted £900 + vat which has been ordered for the last month. I have now been informed (through my garage that are doing the work), that Autosparks have said they cannot even start making my loom for a further 3 weeks.

The above posts are filling me with dread!!
