Non Factory Badge

Morning team
I have a badge fitted to the rear of my 68 Plus 2 which I don't think is original or even meant to be there.
It looks like the Elan +2 side badges but without the wording. It's got 3 mounting prongs and is about 170mm long. What ever was in the body of the badge has long since gone.
I was wondering if it was a later badge that had the car constructor heritage on it?
I don't mind it being there and I'm putting a stylized Union Jack inside the badge to fill the blank.

Over here that was a popular location for the dealer to attach a decal. Seems strange, but perhaps the original dealer had their name on a more elaborate badge? Just a guess.

This is it finished.
I used adhesive vinyl sheet material and cut it to size. I laid the red onto the white then onto the blue. Fitted that into the badge housing and filled it with clear resin. It was a little bit fiddly doing the thin vinyl.
Seems to be okay and the resin hasn't affected the vinyl. Hopefully over time the resin doesn't shrink and it all falls out.
Looks alright though for my tatty Plus 2.
