Door glass seals

I bought new door glass seals for my last Plus 2 restoration (from Mick Miller Lotus I think) and found that they were way, way, too tight such that the glass was essentially 'stuck'. I opted to re use the original seals.
I am at a similar stage with my latest project and wonder if anyone else has come across this issue and whether you found a supplier of better seals which allowed the glass to slide easily?
Cheers

Hi Jon, I used seals from SJS in my S4 and they were a bit thin, so the opposite of your problem but that might have been down to the door top openings
. There are 2 sizes on the Woolies site that might be worth a look

Just went through the same problem with my +2. They were so tight I physically couldn't get them to close, even with the frame out of the car. Got replacements from Macgregor British car parts:

They fit beautifully and the glass slides closed under gravity alone (when held upside down). They're located Toronto, Canada.

Not sure if this will help as its 20 years old now, but I created this document when I replaced the 'Silent channel' rubber extrusions on my S4.
Only Paul (Adamson) would know where he got his channel but even at the time he couldn't remember!
