Elan + 2 130 engine price?

Hi all, considering putting our +2 sprint car up for sale shortly. If it fails to sell we were considering breaking the car to rolling shell and motor. Any ideas on what a low miles since rebuild 130 motor might be worth? Would sell as removed with all parts, carbs, exhaust manifold etc. Think the car should sell OK in one lump, but just backing more than one horse.

If your engine number/head still matches the one on the ID plate, the car is worth more complete. If the car is a "bitsa" it may be worth more as a roller.

Lovely car though. I think most would much rather buy a good running car, ready to enjoy springtime.

Car is original numbers matching lotus staff and press car. Think someone will have a go at it as we don't want a fortune for it. We'll see.

I think there is value in the whole can plus it's interesting history. Hope the punters don't drive you mad...

Know what you mean! Looking to replace it with an Elise for the road. Just need to get a reasonable price for it. Everyone seems to want it for the square root of zero. Probably end up back in the shed.
