Thanks to all the forum members who provided helpful advice over the past couple of months.
I am now a Plus 2 owner again, some 40 years after the sale of my red 69.
I purchased the green Plus 2 from Houston that was on Hemmings then BringATrailer (at a more reasonable price). While it wasn't exactly the color I was looking for fit the bill in almost every other way.
The car has an interesting history, originally yellow, now green with a AX block and an impressive (to me) dyno sheet. Hopefully, it will be in the Midwest by the end of the month.
I am sure that I am going to be looking for additional advice and direction in the coming months.
At the end of the day, while I would have loved a RHD version for "originality", the economics just didn't play out.
Looking forward to being a helpful forum member.... and if anyone has a NOS Webasto sun-roof ...please let me know.
Nick

Congrats Nick!
A friend sent me a link to that car, and I sure did lust for it! Got too much personal investment in my much-shabbier Plus 2 (bought from good friend) to have dropped it for for the green one, but I still remain envious!
Let me know first if you ever want to be rid of it!
