Hi, does anyone know the whereabouts of an Elan 2+2 S130 reg SER556K, lagoon blue, it belonged to my father from 1975ish to 1980, I actually found the car about 5 years ago near Alton by pure fluke, got offered to buy it then but was buy one first house. I've hpi'd the car and it say it's been since sold, I've tried to get info from DVLA but no help, I'd love to track it down and if poss buy the car. Dvla says its sorn and last mot'd in 2011. Any help would be great even to just know it's still in one piece.
Thanks
Rob

Looking at the condition I would image it is still about somewhere. No-one has contacted the Lotus Archives about this car in the last few years so I can't help with its whereabouts, but I am interested in what colour the car was when your dad had it as it was ordered specially in A.C. Bright Blue.

Hi, thanks for your help anyway. The car was lagoon blue with a silver roof when my dad owned it, apparently it was repainted red in the 80s then crashed and half repaired in the early 90s. Then the guy who owned it when I found it finished repairing it and repainted it lagoon blue.

Hello...
So randomly found this post. That car was mine. The pictures are outside my house back in 2010/11 I guess. I owed it for about 6 years or so.
I bought the car in bits after it had been crashed, and left in boxes for years. Rebuilt the whole thing, resprayed in lagoon blue but without silver flake roof as wasn't too keen on that look. But yes i believe that was the original colour. It went through a stint in the 80s/ 90s of being cardinal red.
Was a great car. I loved it, but had to sell as moved overseas. The chap I sold it to was from Bristol way if I remember rightly.
Anyway, wish I still had it. Would definitely buy it back.
Cheers,
Simon
