would be fine if they hadn't mucked around with the rear window..
this was the view of the discussion I think!
Currently in need of a convertible (love my +2 but also like the wind in my hair (while I still have it!!))
Can't afford a baby elan..
wondering about buying a cheap +2 (in love with the looks!!) and just chopping the top..
(would like one of the conversions but they are a tad pricey).
Then could get a torneaux (sp) made and just blat through the country side!

All plus2s are cheap,if you chop the top off carefully you could make a removable hard top with the aid of a roll of sellotape

Tim.
I converteed mine about 10 years ago with parts from C neil, not sure if they still do the parts. The job was pretty straight forward but you do end up with some scuttle shake afterwards(Apparantly the CN conversions suffer from this as well). I have adressed this by boxing in some open areas and foam filling them along with adding a steel frame behind the dashboard which braces the door hinges to the transmision tunnel.
Now its fantastic and drives just like it originally did. I wrote a report for the insurance company which details most of the changes, you can have a copy if you like.

Have to agree; the colour coding looks so much better than the factory black, but ruined for a 'penny worth of tar' as they say. Look at the tatty old air filter ducting against all the finer detailing and paint finish. Shame. And the cam covers? Llook best stripped to bare alloy in my opinion
