CENTRAL LOCKING

Ian, my +2 has a Flash Point FP776 system fitted by the PO. I have taken a few pics of the installation in the driver's door. These were taken though the rectangular aperture at the back of the door, the solenoid is fitted at the bottom of the door between the outer skin and the window channel and attached with screws through the rear of the door. The mechanism is an alarming!! system of thick wires which pull and push the various parts of the system. The window channel can be clearly seen so you should be able to orientate the installation. This may not be the same system as Spyder are offering but shows how others have done it, hope this will help.

HELLO RICHARD
thanks for the trouble taken with photo`s and description.
they will be a big help.
i agree about the allarming amount of wire, but most of it seems to be needed if i manage to install all of the funtions.
1 - locks doors
2 - closes windows if open
3 - flashes indicators
4 - flashes headlights
5 - makes coffee (not realy)
should keep me busy for a while.
thanks again ian

Hi Ian,
Pretty sure that the door handle and lock are very similar ( if not the same as) an MGB.
I know that the MG sites sell a remote control system, maybe try them??
regards
Jeff
