It used to be metallic Blue then it was white (cannot find out why either colour change took place ?
It now has a glass tilting sunroof and a black Vinyl roof, 38,500 miles (nearly sure it?s genuine) very reliable so far and enjoying getting bits to improve it all the time.
Just ordered complete new carpet set, inc the pieces for the door cards !
Got a new front and rear windscreen plastic chrome infill (just trying to get as much info on the easiest way to do it as possible for the best result)
So far (since pictures) new SM complete SS exhaust, new uniroyal tyres all round, wheels polished and painted in rears, engine bay clean up, All new discs, all new pads etc
Cheers and Beers

+2 looks good Peter! The Elan must be fun for those tricky (scary) wet Irish roads.
It's looking like I will be in Kerry (Killarney actually) in the beginning of December for the Killarney Historic Rally. I'll be there in support of the lads from the Galway Mini Centre.
Perhaps I will see you out there?

I would love to be there but unfortunately I'll be back out here in Vietnam at work till 21st Dec so will miss it this year.
This Historic Rally actually passed the front of my house !! when they go from Kenmare to Healey pass on the ring of Beara we are jsut 1/1/2 miles from the beara turn off, we have sat and watched all the cars go by for the last 3 years each time (when I have been at home and if not then just the wife and she takes photo's to email to me)
Have a great time and hope the Mini's do well, its my intent over the next 3 or 4 years to buy a Mk1 escort and enter the rally myself !!
Cheers

This will be my third time to the Historics, it's amazing the turnout of cars there. My friend will be running a Cosworth powered Mk I Escort in addition to the gaggle of Minis run by the shop. Last time I was there we looked at a couple of rally prepped Elans that were for sale in the north, but he went with the Escort instead.
If I lived near Healey pass, my wife would never see me
here is some pics from the first two trips
