Elan kit car

A few years ago I saw a kit car advertised on eBay. It was a a sorry state but what peaked my interest was that it was Elan shaped, well almost. Did I want it no, so why did I put a bid in of £250? I thought no more about it and a few days later to my surprise I was the owner!
I thought I would post some photos.
It was based on Vauxhall nova engine, box, suspension, and a very crude box ladder chassis. Needless to say it was not great, but the body was well made and much thicker than a real elan. The seats were taken out and went into my rally car as did the hydraulic handbrake. As the saying goes “You can’t make a silk purse out of sows ear” and I sold it for £400 when I lost its storage so I made a profit, well excluding all the work and parts!
