Mintex 1144 Brake Pads in the USA

PostPost by: Evante » Fri Nov 15, 2024 5:41 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone know where to purchase Mintex 1144 brake pads for a 1972 Sprint in the USA. After searching the web, I have only been able to find sellers in England, and I did not want to pay the extra shipping costs.

Thanks for you consideration.

Try searching for MGB533M1144. M1144 is not a part number, it is the pad material compound refererence i.e. pads in other sizes for other cars can also be M1144

Cheers

Hi JAS,

You might find some old stock of the M1144 compound but if not you could try looking for MRM1802 pads which I believe are their replacement. HTH

Thanks for posting that Will. I've been happy with M1144's so that is helpful for anyone wanting to stick with Mintex.

Thank you for your replies!

I have looked up MGB533M1144 and I did not find any sellers in the US.

I took your suggestion Will and looked up MRM1802. I was able to find them at USAMinisport but they were out of stock.

I will call them to find out when they expect new stock.

Best regards,

Webslinger. I note that USA Mini has the Mintex pads you specified labeled as "competition" pads. Are they suitable for the street without having to warm them up? Can you compare them to UBC Greenstuff pads in terms of cold bite.
