To those of us for whom the work bell no longer tolls, there is a large classic and vintage mid-week car gathering on the Common at Harpenden, Hertfordshire. It is next Wednesday, 24th July and attracts well over 1000 vehicles, plus motorbikes for those who like that sort of stuff.

I have never been, so have booked myself and the Sprint in for early entry, from 1130hrs onwards. One or two pubs on the edge of the common, so I shall find one for lunch. The organisers ask cars not to leave until 1730-1800hrs.The ticket cost is a donation to charity, as the day is organised by the Rotary.
