Sorry for a strange topic however, a friend of mine who is writing an article for another vehicle make called me for help.
He is making mention of the S2 Europa in his article and has the notion that at one time they were available with some kind of Velvet paint finish?
As I am a little more familiar with Lotus cars he asked me, but I don’t recall such a thing?
Saying that though there is something that sounds familiar about it?
Can anyone confirm or deny such a thing?
Julian.

I would wager the only velvet paint found in period would be the flocking in the glovebox.

It was a fad for a few years in the early '70s in California. Flocking can still be done for dashboards, interiors, even the whole car if desired.

There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.
