Good video!
I am a big fan of the MX5, but confess that I did not know that the car was led by the US. I always thought it was a Japanese project to hit Toyota.
It is such a pity that the British car industry imploded, and just shows that whatever starts in the UK is perfected outside! Mazda in all these years only follwed Colin Chapman’ s philosophy to the letter and from sales of the MX5 alone, arguably has made more money than Lotus has in the same time. And will probably continue to do so!

Yes, see credits at 14:45.
It was a very fun day with Jason, Anthony & Liv. Jason talked about the shoot back in June on his podcast - https://youtu.be/2pqFxWD7Wao?si=hwoj3tCxbzbnco35&t=272
Jason owns an 2007 SC Elise which he's brought to a GGLC Autocross. So he's familiar with Lotus, but hadn't spent a lot time around an Elan. He couldn't get over the steering and the gearbox.

Only had a chance to skim it just now; will watch on detail later.
Semi-intetesting aside: I'm one of the hosts of a podcast called The Thing About Cars and we've had Bob Hall on the show a couple of times. Nice guy, fun to talk with. We've also had Dean Case on a couple of times, who was a member of Hall's design-team on the project. Also a very good guy.
