David Adkins RIP

PostPost by: JimE » Tue Jan 17, 2023 12:04 pm

It saddens me to say that my dear friend David Adkins has passed away. David was an Elan man through and through and I am sure there are some out there who will remember him for his enthusiasm for the brand and his knowledge gleaned from owning Elans and Plus Twos for most of his life. David wasn't all Lotus but a well read man and I will cherish my visits to his home, especially during the latter years where he was effectively housebound, where we had many facinating conversations. RIP old friend. Jim Estall

I recall his interview in the March 92 issue of Classic & Sportscar for an Elan review/ buyers guide re his Elan and Plus2 experience (which I have kept over the years in my Lotus library) with good advice and perspective for potential owners-RIP David and thanks.
