Non-Lotus content (yet)

As I wait for my sense of taste & smell to return, I was pleased that Ford are helping the sense of humour to remain..

Maybe we can expect a L'Eau Tus version in due course to come with the Evija.

Funny.

Where would we be without the slight smell of hot oil, petrol, carbon monoxide and alcohol?

I pumped too much petrol in my school days to love the smell. Electric motor smell reminds me of my childhood trains set. Lithium reminds me of a chemistry class demonstration and scares me to death! :)
We are supposed to be having fun, are we not?

I could maake a fortune if I bottled my exhaust gases. Cars behind often retire to a safe distance they are so overwhelmed by it. :D

I see the report is out of Cologne Germany ….

They use to run rubber tired electric busses in Toronto (not battery), you could definitely smell the ozone when they took off from the stop, (ozone being a hazard.) About 1947- 93. I told a younger Tesla owner friend this just the last week when he stopped by to show me his new car, looked at me as if I was joking. :)
Occasionally one of the power supply rods would come off the overhead cables and arc, driver got out went around the back to put back on the cable.

They ran double-deckers like that in Ipswich when I was younger. I don't remember an ozone smell but they were so quiet compared with the awful diesel country buses.

Modern vehicles use electronic switches, not brush commutators, so are ozone free.

Similar buses in Vancouver, which I believe are still in service.

Still remember a late night wild ride down an extensive downhill (W 10th Ave from the University to Alma for the locals). I was the only passenger. The youngish operator looked over, grinned and pinned the go pedal. We were off without too much drama. At about 50 mph there was either nothing left or prudence took over. The screaming electric motor, rattling body and the driver hanging on to the huge flat wheel was extraordinary!

Great times! :D

Maybe Ford could put their fragrance on one of these…

Trolley Buses.
We had in Portsmouth double decker and they had 6 wheels.
The Conductor put the arm back on the Cable with a long Pole when it came of.
He also changed the points at Junctions.
