I am no longer receiving email alerts from LotusElan.net as I have for years. Is is something I said. What do I need to do to turn this back on?

These alerts were generated through yahoogroups.
As yahoogroups is being eliminated, I suppose we experienced the definitive shutdown.

In the last years I changed to the RSS feed, which is more or less the same, but much faster.
In my Mozilla Thunderbird RSS is checked every 10 min or so.
Those who use an email programm you should check if it integrates RSS feeds.

The alerts came from @yahoogroups.com, so it must be that they are shutting that server down.

I have the same experience, my daily e-mail update stopped a few days ago.

As an IT numpty I don’t understand what is happening except that the other group I belong to sidedraft central also hosted by yahoo had warned me that yahoo was withdrawing the service and that I would have to move to another service. On the same day that my first Elan.net email did not arrive I also received a warning from sidedraft central that the yahoo service would cease.

I now search for Elan.net every day click on forums and then active topics. Not as convenient as a daily e-mail, but seems to work.

Hope this helps,

Richard Hawkins

Is this what we have to do to get our daily fix of Elans?

I went back in my archives and found a message that yahoo groups was closing Dec 15 2020, because yahoo groups was not profitable enough. And that is when the daily message went away.

Has anyone been in contact w/ Jeff?

I am not sure this is the same as what Yahoo was offering or not. I receive updates, albeit not that often, though I think it was about the same as when it was Yahoo.

Why not just log on here every day and use the Active Topics listing. It's far less trouble than dealing with email lists.

I do this.

Haven't used archaic facilities like Yahoo Groups for decades.
