Color choice for headers - Any opinions?

Hi All,
I am installing new Tony Thompson headers on my 72 Federal Sprint. I am trying to decide on what color to ceramic coat the headers; silver or black. The cam color is going to be signal red and the block will be gray as original.
Any preferences?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I had my TTR headers done in black Zircotec. Bear in mind it is more very dark grey and is rough so marks reasonably easily

is a wrap in consideration? Probably good to use the high heat paint first, while wet wrap it. Also changeable if your not happy.

I went with a silver colour. I looks more like aluminium toning to me. I like it. I put some reflective foil on the fibreglass to prevent heat buildup, and also wrapped parts of the header that are close to the fibreglass bulkheads. The TTR header is big when it is installed!

Have you researched the different coatings and methods including wrapping. They each have their pos and neg points. Have a read of this which may help.

Have you looked into the benefits and negatives of both coatings and wrappings as they some coatings are not long lasting as you will read if you go on some of the Jaguar forums with E Type headers. Here is a site that gives a quick run down on coatings that may be worth a read,
