If the build quality is half as good as the packaging quality I’m going to be a happy bunny. I’ve been unpacking for over 15 minutes and got this far

It looks like your bunny has been unpacking them :)

We have been flooded. Nearly a metre deep thrugh house and garage. Lotus up to the steering wheel deep. I had to tie it to my workbench to stop it floating away! Onwards and upwards! D

So sorry to see that. Hope you’re able to get it clean and dry and that there isn’t significant lasting damage.

I'd recommend you try and start that engine up ASAP. Change the oil, drain the carbs, spin it over with the plugs removed to eject any water from the cylinders and try and fire it up and run it until at least it comes up to temperature.

Most definitely don't let it sit. You need to act fast so things don't rust internally. Get it running to dry things out.

Was this back in the floods in early May? It looks dreadful, I can only imagine how destructive this must be.

You definitely have my sympathy.

Just relieved the nose of the bottom of the diff and a couple of mm from a chassis edge.
Having spent at least 2.5 hours over a couple of days removing the blighter I thought it was worth a go.
What a difference.
Test fit and removal accomplished in just a few minutes :D

Hiya!

What a lovely photo. I will have to dig out one I have of my eldest when she was small with my original +2.

All the best

Hi Guys

Rolled out the freshly painted shell for its first wash. It had been accumulating dust and general crud from sitting in a very unsealed temporary garage. If I could have found my wax I would have applied some.

I jetwashed the whole shell both inside and out so got rid of all the sanding dust etc.

Must start putting it back together now.
