I think your right. Just strange that of the 5 +2 owners I have met in person (including myself) 3 have owned 5 speeds!

Starter reinstalled and out for a quick test drive... and decided to take the opportunity to play with recording sound.

Finally replaced my old, somewhat rusty radiator inlet grill.

Hopefully you did you discard the original one, esp. as it does not look too bad when seen from here: I'm sure if you don't need it that would be cherished by someone else, as the original grill pattern is not easy to source...

I don’t throw out anything from the original car. It likely could be easily cleaned up and rattle canned to new.

Adjusted cambers. Spec -1% front, -1.5% rear. Measured the actuals on an iphone app with apparent .2 degree accuracy (what did mechanics back in the day require?). Anyway, sine of the delta degrees times the upright length (22.6" rear, 9" front) gave the amount to change the lower link, times 18 threads per inch gave the number of rose join turns.

A test ride to get everything settled, and, it worked! Dang. John

On the iPhone compass app (it’s comes preloaded), there’s an inclinometer on the second page.

Lots of free apps out there. Mine is called "Laser Level". I chose it because I think it's .2 degrees in display, but maybe .1, whereas the Apply one I think is .5 degrees. You have to put up with ads though. John
