Sue Miller and good old fashioned service.

PostPost by: M.J.S » Fri Aug 03, 2018 10:42 am

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, admin please move if this is the case.

It's good to have something nice to say in this currently unpleasant world.

Sue Miller (Mick Miller Lotus) is perhaps just a pound or two more expensive than some, but recently I've purchased two larger batches of items as she has many things that others don't.

I fired off an email yesterday afternoon around two, hi Sue, need a rear windscreen rubber and vacuum T piece ASAP if you can?

Still no reply to my email this morning. That's odd I say, Sue usually responds quickly.

Five minutes ago the items turned up at my desk with a courier, sent on faith, not even paid for.

And that's what the extra pound or two is for.

Thanks Sue.

I recently had an item ?on approval? from Sue.

That doesn?t happen much these days.

On a slightly darker note - there are some folk who have taken advantag3 of her generosity and still owe her payments for parts received. Despicable! They should be named and shamed.

If there is no issue with the parts, they're just taking the p***, then name them. I'm sure everyone on here would support such an action.

I totally agree Steve. Sue deserves far better than "used" by such wretches.

I?ve also had great service from Sue, including her sending me parts with an invoice to pay on receipt and extra bolts etc.

1st class service and a lovely person to deal with.

I agree 100%. Excellent service. I've just returned some parts that she sent me on a sale or return basis and this isn't the first occasion she's done this.

Only had an excellent service from Sue in the past. One thing not often mentioned here is her huge amount of knowledge for our cars and the extensive list of contacts for various specialist services that she has amassed over the years.

Earlier this week I visited Sue to collect a new windscreen, followed by a mug of tea, biscuits and and general chit chat about Elans etc.
Don’t miss a chance to visit, the wealth of information and experience that Sue has will amaze you.

Thanks for the hospitality Sue and for holding on to my screen for a lot longer than expected.

Wow, I wish everyone - vendors and customers alike - were this trusting/trustworthy. Although the Lotus vendors in the US, especially RD and Dave Bean are very responsive and way better than less specialized vendors, and perhaps Ray would offer a cuppa if I showed up at his shop, I would never expect anyone to do this today. If I get back to the UK I'll have to visit Sue.

Sue's great. Always a pleasure to talk to and helpful.

Sean.

p.s. She just sent me a little box of goodies including the 90 degree pipe that connects the fuel filler to the tank.
