How does messaging work?

PostPost by: 67CWB » Sun Jan 28, 2018 4:37 pm

Hi, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (I have checked but couldn?t see anything).

I?m a new member and trying to comtact two of the previous owners of my recently acquired S2 Elan, both of whom are on this forum and have suggested on another forum that I contact them here... however I?m am not entirely sure my messages have been sent. They show in my mailbox as ?Outgoing? but not as ?Sent?.... wondering if I?m doing something wrong? I?m keen to contact them as between them they have effectively rebuilt the car whilst it was in the US (was exported from U.K. to US in 1977, and I have just imported it back to the U.K.)

Thanks for advice / suggestions.

You're on the right track. They will show in your outbox until the recepient opens it. It then goes to your
sent box.

I'd wondered why they spent so long in outbox, that clears it up for me too.

Hello Matt, thanks for the note. I?m in Basingstoke - not that far from you. Looking forward to getting the car back from MOT so I can register it and get on the road for the Spring.

Thanks to you all for your responses.... all makes sense now! One of the previous owners has now gotten in touch - which is great!
