where has

most of the stuff gone from this site.....
I can hardly find anything that used to be pretty easy to access.......
diagrams, drawings, sketches...etc..etc
and the search is neither use nor ornament.........

sorry....frustrating couple of hours looking for stuff I've posted previously

If you know roughly when you posted go to your profile and search users posts. Should be a bit of guesswork how many pages you need to go back but it shouldn't take hours. Well hopefully!

That's what I ended up doing......but 3 things took me about half an hour each to find......and my eyes are hurting......

Dog's breakfast innit? I think that Jeff started a major re-jig of the site a couple of years ago but didn't finish it; it must have been a huge task and he never did follow up the offers of help. As I don't visit as much as in former times I don't even know if he is regularly here or has gone walkabout again.

I can only suggest to use Google as a "local" search engine:
type:
whatever you search for site:lotuselan.net
if you search for your own posts, include "theelanman":
whatever you search for theelanman site:lotuselan.net

much more easier to handle then the site's search utility ...
