Hello all,

My first Elan was a S4 DHC (SE?) which I had found in Essex in the late 1980's.
It was a complete car but had been stripped for restoration.
However I had barely commenced it's overhaul when family commitments and the arrival of children led to me to the very difficult decision to sell the project.
It was bought by a vet somewhere in the south of the UK, possibly Hampshire.
Does anyone know of the whereabouts of FYN 914J or if it was returned to the road?

so it made it back to the road after your ownership.......
whether its still on the road is another thing........

It was a Elan S/E. No one has contacted the Lotus Archives about the car in the last few years, so sorry I can't help. Was it Royal Blue when you had it as DVLA records show blue as the last recorded colour?

thanks for your post, there were traces of the paint left as it had been stripped but yes it was a mid blue.

A few years have passed since I last enquired so I thought I'd ask again, does anyone on this site own FYN 914J?

(the details are that the V5C was last updated in 2004 and that it was last taxed in 2009)
