Facet 60106 fuel pump

Good morning,

I am fitting a 60106 fuel pump to my Elan. Now the instructions say it has to be mounted with the outlet above the inlet and 45 degrees to the tank. My understanding of this is a line through the inlet at the bottom and the outlet at the top is 45 degrees to the vertical.

Is this how other users interpreted the instructions? I have had a look at the pictures on this site and not one pump is mounted at an angle so maybe I am worrying about nothing.
