At the Lighthouse

Last night was a perfect evening. I seems to have a comfort zone of 76 degrees of late (plus or minus 2) and it was shorts and tee shirt weather till the no-seeums came out to force a cover up. I guess everyone thought the same as there was a good crowd at the Thursday evening gathering at the lighthouse. I guess it was close enough to call Summer. lots of folks taking in the good weather and views, talking, walking, riding bicycles, motorcycles, and all forms of 4 wheel vehicles from around the globe. The Sun was setting over the coast as I looked northward as I left to go home, just a great evening...

The weather was not quite as good tonight as last week. Seems thunder showers and the cold (high 50's) that it brought with it kept folks home tonight, I went for a look see and hung around for 20 minutes or maybe a half an hour and I was the lone soul to show up. I took a couple of pictures just because I was there.

This morning it looked like a repeat of yesterday. Thick fog and kind of cool but as the morning turned to noon the fog lifted and the clouds were gone. Turned out to be a real nice afternoon and seems everyone just wanted to get out and enjoy the good weather. A pretty good crowd turned out this week at the lighthouse and it seems like everyone was enjoying the extensive diversity that this kind of gathering draws. Just a lot of fun to see what folks turn up in...

After a hot and humid day (mid 90's) I expected quite a few to take off for the coolest spot in Scituate. The lighthouse always seems to have a breeze off the water and modifies the temperature. It was mid 80's when I got there and a pretty pleasant evening. I guess quite a few stayed home to sit in the comfort of an air conditioned room someplace but quite a good turnout for the first day of summer. a couple of new cars I hadn't seen before and just a good way to end an oppressively hot day.

The good weather continued for last evening. When I arrived a light breeze out of the east and a very nice 80 degrees with some patchy clouds.
