Apologies if you're fed up with pictures of my car but I love it :D

I'm trying to make sure they're different

This one is in celebration of the fact that Little'un burst into life today after her major operation to try to at least reduce the oil leaks a bit. I'm happy to report that the sound of the twink made me smile again :)

Not sure about the frame but I was just mucking about .......

After building concrete block walls and spending the rest of the time buried under the dash of another restoration, I decided to have some fun. Today was perfect. The weekend road going speed bumps were back at work and early this morning the roads were clear. So, break out the Elan and take a drive up to Palomar Mountain for some pics in the snow left over from last weekends storm, then down to beach for some pics near the surf. From 5000 feet to sea level in just under one hour and 20 minutes.

What a very annoying post- it's been effing arctic here over the week-end, rain storm last night and my garage roof is now leaking (fortunately onto the fhc, rather than the open one).

Looks a beautiful place; if I have one criticism of your beach photo... where are those leggy girls on roller-blades? 8)

My favourite photo is the result of a wet cold Sunday afternoon playing around with Photoshop to make an interesting picture out of a very badly taken photo, the result is a bit stylised for some, but my pal Don Hands has a signed copy on the wall to remind him of Cybil and no doubt it makes him regret selling her (Cybil = 910CBL registration number)

Original taken outside Don's house, note the awful composition and background

A few minutes on Photoshop resulted in this

And finally, some further messing around and a bit of plaigiarism gives the end result

Kindest regards

Pete Sorry about that. We had a pretty strong storm over the weekend. Fortunately only lost one tree, which has my wife in a snit. It's not often we get snow in April, if even only a few inches. The only "leggy" bodies that walked by was an old beat up surfer dude, that actually recognized the Elan for what it was. It took me a moment to respond. Most people do not have a clue. The other was a very attractive young lady pushing a baby stroller. Had put the camera back in my pocket and was getting back in the car at the time. No parking spaces near the sand, very limited at that, so the upper parking lot had to do.

The flares came with the car. Just enough to cover the Plus 2 wheels. Was warned about them when I bought the car, but they looked very natural to me. So, I didn't bat an eye.

Rob,

Moonlight Beach?

Who needs leggy girls when you have an Elan. The better upside to the Elan? after all these years it still looks the same.

Mike,

Moonlight it is....... Was looking for a parking spot near the sand, but they were all taken as usual. Monday was just too flat a** bitch'n not to make this drive. Besides, South Grade is about he best thing we have here in this part of the world to put a huge grin on your face. The big plus was, I didn't see a single crotch rocket on the mountain, up or down.
