Thanks for the photos everyone, there are lots of enging bay shots out there and all may be close to being the same, everyone seems to do things a bit different. I found a couple more and I think there are a few others in many other posts. The 26r S2 pictures are in a topic that I really don't like posting links to as I am sure the experts will drag it back to the bowels of elan.net just to get things going. I guess if they do its just comfirms my thoughts so have a look. 13 pages, lots of deleted or edited replies, nothing will really read the way it was written in real time but there is still good info there so here is the link

Gary,
I'm very pleased to add a picture to your collection, this was taken today at Spyder. The engine is meant to cant over a little but not quite as much as shown here, there's no engine mounts fabricated yet, just a trial fit to prove it clears the chassis and is not too tall for a standard bonnet/hood.
Kindest regards

Not to sure if folks are tired of this stuff but I found some more that Rob reminded me of. I kind of think that engine bays are more identifiable than body photos as all those red Elan?s look the same to me. At least in the engine bay things changed over time and you can generally pick up on the key differences. So here are another 10 just because I have them. Thankyou to everyone that has contributed whether you know it or not...

Gary, I am really enjoying seeing the pictures, so keep them coming. It's interesting to see all the various solutions that people have come up with over the years for common problems... different radiators, header tanks, holes to increase airflow, dual circuit braking systems... Since you have done body changes with your flares posting and now engine compartments, some other interesting areas would be exterior color schemes, interiors, drive shafts, braking systems, suspensions... the list is endless. Thanks, Dan

If you were at LOG30 and left the bonnet up I probably got a picture or two of it. I even got a couple of a plus2 and a LoCort (I won't post the LoCort one's here after the toilet spiral that developed the last time). I hope that folks are still enjoying these, if not well I will find some more and post them too.

Those remote reservoirs look trick.
But it looks like one of them is leaking. All the paint is stripped off the glass beneath it.
