Insurance - UK and European?

Has anyone found a legitimate way of insuring their Elan with the combination of Agreed Value and Unlimited (or close tounlimited) Days in Europe. As I want my car to spend time in UK and in Italy - and of course, some transit time between - without having to plan my life around insurance coverage limits, I want both.
So far I have found I can have either agreed value, or long European cover, but not both. The usual suspect, Footman Flux, Adrian James, etc., have not been able to help.
Any suggestions.

Footman James do provide agreed value cover with which you can use your car to go to Europe on Holidays etc.
I suppose it's a matter of definition on how long a Holiday is.
Regardless of insurance if your British registered car is in Italy it will have to come back to GB for its MOT each year = Major stumbling block.
I'm not sure how long you can legally run a British registered car in Italy but then again I doubt if the Cops there know either.

I obtained a quote for a UK registered Caterham to be driven in Europe for max 12 months, not sure it was agreed value though?
(Now just got to find the Caterham!)

Hi,
I looked at this thread and can advise as follows:
Classic insurance is normally for limited mileage, what kind of mileage a year are you looking for?
1) On classics 7500 miles is normally the upper limit, otherwise it becomes very nearly the "every day" car.
2) We offer agreed value and up to 3 months (90 days) continental cover.
3) On cars worth more than ?20k there is normally an overnight garaging clause if not at the declared address so whilst abroad it would need to be garaged between 10.00pm and 6.00am each night/morning for theft cover to apply. (unless you are on holiday)
4) Beware annual Green Card cover, green cards do not provide "Comprehensive cover" but are just proof that you hold insurance that complies with a particular EU countries minimum insurance requirement. i.e. Third party only in the UK
They are a sort of internationaly recognised insurance certificate if you like, they do not guarantee anything over and above that countries minimum requirement.
All of the above applies to UK registered vehicles only.
There are companies who specialise in "Ex Pat" policies which will provide full cover at home and abroad but they will not do agreed value as well. (to the best of my knowledge)
Hope this helps.

Just checked it was for agreed value and fully comprehensive although limited to 3000miles as I didn't want any more
