What did you do to your Lotus today...
There was an article in Scientific American's 100 years ago column (reprints from early issues) that was talking about the newly invented motorcar. One point it was enthusiastic about was how much cleaner the city would be if motorcars took over from horses!
We are supposed to be having fun, are we not?

Good morning Bill
Bucket and shovel,!!, What do you mean `Used to`, I still do. The stables are about 200 yards down our lane and the horses seem to get about this far before unloading. It is delivered free to my front gate.
But I use it as a compost accelerator.

Hi
Something I have had in mind for a long time.
Purchased 100mmx3/16" brass rod £3,35 on e bay drilled and cut a new accelerator barrel for the Weber linkage, makes a smoother acceleration

If I come past Burnley I will drop some more off for you Eric ...
alternatively I could keep some handy carried discreetly under the wheel arches just in case I need to soak up an oil leak

Mrs H and I set off around Snowdon this morning and collected a supply of Edwards Butcher’s sausages in Conwy (plus a late morning bacon bap from his hot food bar Yum!)

Edited to add - looks like a massive oil/coolant leak from under the car, but it’s not, really!!

Big day today.
Finally have the Plus 2 back on the road after getting transmission difficulties sorted. Washing her up today and meeting with a few local Lotus enthusiasts in a socially distanced get together. Hard to believe, but I actually don’t seem to have any fluid leaks!
Cheers!

Got a shiner new 5 speed clutch from QED. Also note that the flywheel side looks to be already machined.
Happy days with the box coming back from Mr. Boulton.
