That's a very tidy front end.
One comment - something seems adrift with your inner bottom wishbone nut, which doesn't seem to be on the stud far enough to fully engage with the nyloc.
Might be worth investigating further...

Changed my gearbox oil - sure is a lot easier on the Seven than the Elan!

A few tiny brass specks, but nothing significant in size or quantity aftter my long run yesterday. I did have a little scare when I got back and couldn't get reverse gear to back into the garage. Knew I was lucky this morning when I opened the tunnel and the dome/cup tried to come up. It had worked loose so when I lifted the lever for reverse it was going way too far to locate correctly. Something a dot of blue loctite should solve.

I thought you only need a washer on the outside not both sides.

I seem to recall that the overall length of bush is slightly longer than metalastic?
Anyway half height nyloc are easy enough got.
In this instance it may be that the lower damper fitting is a bit wide or the trunnion a bit narrow pushing suspension link out a bit?

Thanks for the alert, I'll take a look.
Although, I must admit, sometimes I wonder why a nut is needed there at all. There's two fasteners at the outer end - how is the inner end going to get off the pivot? Is it just there to retain the bush? I would think 50 ft-lbs would do it, even without the nyloc.
In any event, I like the half-height nut idea. Actually, I love the "turning" idea, I've been looking for a justification for a lathe...

I've been busy lately, today I made up the 3/16 brake lines for S2 project I'm working on, last week I collect S1 and 26R and next week I've got to collect the shell for the S2 which will be using my repaired 26R shell, all it took was a new rear from turrets back, new passenger side front qtr and sill and a few $$. Les is the artisan who repaired the shell, as always he did a fabulous job, with post repair shell weighing only a few kg's heavier than pre accident.
As its using a TTR super lightweight chinese eye shell, I've decided to build S2 with pared back interior, san's windscreen wipers, heater and frame/windscreen cutdown to 6", aka the 356 speedster thinking, less is more. Les is working on new screen frame and we've already made a mould for the Lexan screen which will be bonded to the frame with drop in or fixed cut down side windows and a dash top that flows around into the doors. Toying with alloy detailing for doors, dash.
The objective is to make the changes without messing with the underlying car, so that if desired it ca be returned to OEM spec, with screen etc.
Mechanically it will have an 1860 TC, CR box, 3.77 final drive, LSD, adjustable shocks and spring towers, 130-150lb front and 100-120lb rear springs with 6 or possibly staggered 6 and 7x13 Minilights.

Just drove it, mostly on my own but partly with my dad on his 80th birthday.
Blimey how cheap do I sound with the presents
Had a weird coincidence as 4 British classics all arrived at the main junction in Holmfirth at the same time from different directions and all then went their own ways.. Interceptor, TR6 Sunbeam Alpine...
All looking shiny and immaculate and there was my S3 after a day of blatting around with a coating of horse manure up the sides
About time horse owners had to do the same as dog owners... Although they would need bigger pooh bags..
Still it is supposedly good for roses..
Question now is clean it or drive it on Sunday
