Right, I get you now. I meant loop. My auto correct hates me
I will definitely be doing the loop once my car is finished, what a road!
Best regards, P

The loop is great, featured on many motoring videos.
We shall, however, be doing The Loud, a new and exciting variation.
It is a long way for you. I hear it's been a bit wet and windy?
I was due to be swimming up a Snowdonian river this weekend just gone, from Barmouth. The weather stopped play. When I do track days at Anglesey it's about 7 hrs from Eastbourne.

Yeah, we have been going to Eastbourne once a year for some years now, 7 hours is about what it took us.
We are only 15 miles from Barmouth, tell me the next time you are coming up and we could meet up. Any Lotus owner is welcome to see our project.
Best regards, P

Does anyone know what app they use for the digital subscription on Android? Any thoughts if the app/digital is any good or it just better to pay for the printed version?

They use their own app, called Absolute Lotus.
Quality is good. I would prefer print also, but "overseas" delivery is expensive (GB 25£, EU 37£, row 60£)

Thanks, I looked for an app named after the publisher but didn't think they'd have a dedicated app for the magazine for some reason. Will take a look.
I have same feelings about the delivery costs, hence the question.

Spent last Thursday morning at a photoshoot for my car for an article in the next issue followed by an extensive interview. Started at 6am when it was minus 4 degrees C, I had trouble getting the ice of the car from trailering it to the shoot location.
Looking forward to how it turns out, hopefully I did not talk too much rubbish.

Bump this topic
I’m looking to arrange the “Beachy Head Loud” for later on this summer 2022.
The format will be a week day, either a Tuesday or a Thursday, meet at the main car park at the top of Beachy Head near Eastbourne, then take a couple of circuits of the “The Loop” to just enjoy the coastal road and views, maybe take a few passengers for a ride. It takes 15 -20 minutes to do the loop with the most amazing coastal scenery thats available in the SE of England.
Then have lunch at East Dean at the historic Tiger Inn at East Dean (on the loop/loud), maybe with a trip afterwards to the Herstmonceaux Observatory science centre on the Pevensey levels https://www.the-observatory.org/
Pre lockdown, I attended a pilgramage to the historic Lotus production sites, those atttending were Bill Williams ((BillWill) Adam Mills (PastaPesto) and myself.
we started at Hornsey, then moved onto Cheshunt before driving on to Hethel where Lotus resides today. Our guest for the day was an ex Lotus employee, She was Ron Hickman’s secretary, with lots of stories to tell called Maureen!
Maureen is making her way back to the UK this year and she will be attending the Beachy Head Loud! If you are able to attend and would like to make this a special event then please express your interest here and I will be sure to promote and arrange this event.

Just bumping this topic to gauge interest for a meet up at Beachy Head on either Tuesday 9th August or Tuesday 16th August.
All Lotus cars welcome, especially Elan's
Format would be loosely as follows:
Meet at Beachy Head main car park from 10am onwards,
Do a few loops of the scenic road, take passengers, swap about
Have lunch at either the Tiger Inn at East Dean or the Visitor centre Cafe at Birling Gap, or even The Beachy Head pub adjacent to the main car park.
We can book an outside table for up to 18 people at The Tiger Inn, or 8 inside, although it's a weekday it will be the height of the holiday season, so booking will probably be a good idea if we can get enough interest.
